Saturday 29 August 2026 – Panorama
The weekend begins with the UK National Panorama Steelband Competition, where some of the country’s leading steel bands compete. Unlike the main Carnival days, Panorama is a ticketed event.
Sunday 30 August 2026 – Children’s Day
Sunday is traditionally the more family-focused day. The programme includes J’ouvert, the official opening ceremony, the Children’s Day Parade, colourful costumes, music, sound systems and family-friendly Carnival celebrations.
Monday 31 August 2026 – Adults Day
Monday brings the main Adults Day Parade, when elaborate costumes, Mas bands, music and dancing take over the Carnival route. It is one of the busiest and most energetic days of the weekend.

How to Get to Notting Hill Carnival 2026

If you are travelling from Park City Grand Plaza Kensington, nearby Earl’s Court and Gloucester Road stations provide convenient Underground connections for travelling towards the Carnival area. However, normal routes can change during Carnival weekend because several stations close or operate with entry and exit restrictions.
For Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August 2026, planned station restrictions include:
- Ladbroke Grove: closed all day.
- Notting Hill Gate: no entry between 11am and 6pm.
- Westbourne Park: no entry from 11am.
- Queensway: no entry between 11am and 6pm and operates as exit only during this period.
- Holland Park: restricted from 11am and closes at 3pm.

- Arrive early to enjoy more of the Carnival before the biggest crowds build.
- Use public transport rather than driving, as roads around the Carnival route are closed or restricted.
